Conjunct Orders

Verbs in the Conjunct order do not carry personal prefixes. Conjunct forms are preceded by a conjunct preverb or take initial change.

There are six Conjunct conjugations in the Southern dialect of East Cree:

  • Conjunct Indicative Neutral or CIN (#11)
  • Conjunct Indicative Neutral- Subjunctive or CIN-S (#12a)
  • Conjunct Indicative Neutral – Habitual/Iterative or CH (#12b)
  • Conjunct Indicative Preterit or CIP (#13)
  • Conjunct Dubitative Neutral or CDN (# 14)
  • Conjunct Dubitative Preterit or CDP (#15)
