Most of the following examples are divided into accented and unaccented sounds for this reason. Notice in many of the words that end in a vowel, the final sound is a <a href=\"..\/..\/..\/orthography\/roman\/glottal-stops\/\">glottal stop<\/a> <span class=\"ipa\">[ \u0294 ]<\/span>.<\/p>\r\n<h3 class=\"head\">Tense II<\/h3>\r\n<p>II can be longer or shorter in duration. Longer <span class=\"ipa\">[ i\u02d0 ]<\/span> sounds like the first vowel in <em>eat<\/em>.
