Today\u2019s standards require Unicode fonts.<\/p>\r\n<p><img src=\"\/img\/bjcree.png\" alt=\"BJCreeUNI Font Image\" \/><\/p>\r\n<p>To learn the syllabics and to see the mapping between the roman and syllabic orthographies , view the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eastcree.org\/keyboard.html\">Syllabics Chart<\/a>\u00a0(requires Adobe Flash)-complete with spoken sounds (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eastcree.org\/downloads\/TalkingSyllChart.zip\">download it here<\/a>)<\/p>\r\n<p>Most people today type using the <a title=\"Syllabic Chart\" href=\"https:\/\/www.eastcree.org\/keyboard.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">roman keyboard<\/a> where each cree character corresponds to a series of roman characters on the <strong>QWERTY<\/strong> keyboard. Some people still use the <a title=\"Image of Creeboard\" href=\"\/pdf\/creebrdUniMac.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">creeboard<\/a> where each cree character corresponds to only key (on the <strong>QWERTY<\/strong> keyboard)<\/p>\r\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/keyman.com\/keyboards\/bj_cree_east\" target=\"keyman\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> Keyman Desktop<\/a> is now our recommended keyboarding application on Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, iOS &amp; Android<\/p>\r\n<p><strong><em>NB:<\/em><\/strong> Keyman application supports multiple languages so please makes sure to download the keyboard via the link <a href=\"https:\/\/keyman.com\/keyboards\/bj_cree_east\">East Cree (roman to syllabic) keyboard<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/keyman.com\/keyboards\/bj_cree_east_james_bay?bcp47=cr-cans\" target=\"keyman\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cree board <\/a> or language codes <strong>crl crj<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>If you just need a syllabic font you can download our BJCree Uni font files.<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li><a href=\"\/downloads\/bjcrus.ttf\" download=\"\">BJCree Uni TTF<\/a><\/li>\r\n\t<li><a href=\"\/downloads\/bjcrus.eot\" download=\"\">BJCree Uni EOT<\/a><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h5 class=\"text-primary\">2024 update<\/h5>\r\n<p class=\"mb-5\">A <strong>bugfix<\/strong> for Keyman BJCree Uni package was released in the December 2023. This was to address a <a href=\"https:\/\/community.software.sil.org\/t\/font-changing-while-typing\/7982\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> font issue in Microsoft Word 365<\/a>.
