It is always used with the past preverb <span class=\"bjct\">\u148c\u1426<\/span> <span class=\"crt\">chiih<\/span>. Some people use a short form without the <span class=\"crt\">-hta<\/span> part.<\/p>\r\n<p>In the following story, the narrator knows that the canoe tipped over, he did not witness the cause of this event. He makes the inference that the man and his wife, who were hunting ducks, shot at the same time and that this caused the canoe to tip over.
