No one can watch them as they play. The way they know if someone watches them is their game does not work out. The only place from which anyone can watch them is that hollow tree in the water. So when they know that someone is watching them from that tree, they swim out to it and proceed to shake it violently and usually whoever has been watching from inside the tree is killed by the shaking.”<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n

The water current in the bay made him go faster. Waashtihkaan, near Chisasibi was one of the beaver lodges. Close by this area he pulled down a tall white spruce tree, sharpened it and speared it into the beaver lodge. The beaver headed out into the bay and seeing its form in the water, Maasu speared it again with the spruce tree, securing it to the bottom of the bay.
