aashtuweu + puutaatam	=		ashtuwepuutaatam
s/he extinguishes it + s/he blows it			s/he blows it out

The VTI verb ᐋᔥᑐᐧᐁᐴᑖᑕᒻ ashtuwepuutaatam s/he blows it out is made from the stem of the VAI verb ᐋᔅᑐᐧᐁᐤ aashtuwe-u s/he extinguishes it and the VTI verb ᐴᑖᑕᒻ puutaatam s/he blows it. The class of the second verb (here a VTI) determines the class of the resulting verb (also a VTI).

In this way, new verbs can be created by putting two existing verbs together.
